weekend therapy

About

I am a School Counselor in middle school, working on meeting clients and people where they are when they need. As I work with students, continue curating my practice, and grow personally I get by with a little help from weekend therapy.
School Counseling and navigating the specifics of the hormonal and transitional middle school population is way more exciting and fun than I could have ever imagined. But let’s get real- on some days, I come home unhinged and unfiltered. I call this lovingly, “inspiration” for my more creative and artistic side. In order to keep my cool, and not punish the world for my stress, I like to partake in some weekend therapy: bad reality TV and crafty goodness.

Oh right! And sometimes I add a blog post here or there. My goal is to focus here on things I am learning and publishing, tips I am finding useful, questions I am pondering, mistakes I am making, controversies I am considering, pretty things I am seeing, and craftiness I am making.  My art is a purge of prints inspired by places I go while on break to feel small, and a stream of odes for amazing family and friends who meet me there. Forever should the line between personal and professional blur in this business; the goal of Weekend Therapy is to exemplify that by creating beauties in one, will help me remember and love the beauties of the other.
